Medical HCG

Medical grade HCG, not homepathic, prescribed & filled by a PCCA Pharmacy!

IAPAM Approved

The use of the HCG hormone as a diet aid is somewhat controversial. There is extensive conflicting information online about the diet and it is easy to become confused about what is accurate and what is not.

At Houston Medical Wellness Clinic we offer a physician-supervised HCG diet you can trust for lasting results. The Houston Medical Wellness Clinic HCG program is IAPAM Approved & designed to achieve these results through the safest practices available. Below is a link to clinical research of the effectiveness of HCG as a diet aid.

Effect of HCG on weight loss, hunger, and feeling of well-being.

Three Kinds of Fat

In the human body we can distinguish three kinds of fat.

  1. Structural Fat
The first is the structural fat, which fills the gaps between various organs a sort of packing material. Structural fat also performs such important functions as bedding the kidneys in soft elastic tissue, protecting the coronary arteries, and keeping the skin smooth and taut. It also provides the springy cushion of hard fat under the bones of the feet, without which we would be unable to walk.

  2. Normal Fat
The second type of fat is a normal reserve of fuel upon which the body can freely draw when the nutritional store from intestinal tract is insufficient to meet the demand. Such normal reserves are localized all over the body. Fat is a substance which packs the highest caloric value into the smallest space so that normal reserves of fuel for muscular activity and the maintenance of body temperature can be most economically stored in this form. These types of fats, structural and reserve are normal, and even if the body stocks them to capacity this can never be called obesity.
  3. Abnormal Fat
But there is a third type of fat which is entirely abnormal. It is the accumulation of such fat, from which the overweight patient suffers. Abnormal fat is also a potential reserve of fuel, but unlike the normal reserves it is not available to the body in a nutritional emergency. When an obese patient tries to lose weight by reducing caloric intake, he will first lose normal fat reserves. When these are exhausted he begins to burn up structural fat, and only as a last resort will the body yield its abnormal reserves, though by that time the patient usually feels so weak and hungry that the diet is abandoned.

The Simeons HCG Diet Protocol*

The Simeons HCG Diet Protocol proposed by Dr. ATW Simeons is based off his theory that the HCG hormone triggers your body to release abnormal fats and deliver the nutrition it needs to supplement a low caloric intake. The HCG hormone is believed by some to relieve the patient from feeling hungry and fatigued when dieting. While there has been no conclusive medical research substantiating this, many patients claim to have lost a significant amount of weight while strictly following the diet protocol. To learn more about Dr. Simeons HCG diet protocol visit the HCG Diet Info website.

The HCG Program at Houston Medical Wellness Clinic

We offer 40 day HCG programs, and have partnered up with multiple local kitchens (Dinner Dude, Snap Kitchen, My Fit Foods, Perfect Fit Meals & more..) to offer meal plans that strictly adhere to the HCG protocol as established by Simeons. Additionally, because we conduct our HCG program under the supervision of a licensed physician, we require specific blood testing, a comprehensive physical exam, and detailed health history in order to determine eligibility for a very low calorie diet.  It is VERY important that if one would like to follow the Simeons HCG Protocol, that it be done under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.

Update: The FDA is warning consumers that over the counter HCG products marketed as weight loss aids are unproven and illegal. Harmful effects from these products should be reported online to the FDA at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/default.htm and to your health care professional.
