Description
1% Lactic Acid – An alpha hydroxy acid found naturally in the body and obtained from sour milk. It is an AHA with a larger molecule and is not as irritating as other AHAs. This and other hydroxyl acides decrease the stickiness between corneocytes above the granular layer, increasing desquamation and evenly thinning the stratum corneum. This process is especially helpful for aging skin because natural exfoliation slows down with age. It improves texture and tone and hydrates.
